Description
Learning Objectives
- Identify risk factors involved in work related pain for the dental clinician.
- Understand the importance and actions involved in physical preparation for the physically taxing demands of a dental clinician.
- Learn how to identify and correct common chairside habits that can lead to physical dysfunction and pain in the body.
- Practice chairside stretches of typical chronically tight muscles experienced by dental clinicians.
- Receive practical application of how to incorporate postural into daily practice in the office and at home.
Everything in the body is connected, so it should be no surprise that the way we hold our clinical instruments to the way we hold our largest instrument (our body) is also connected. Take a postural journey throughout the day in the life of a hygienist to discover ways to maintain neutral posture so that providing quality comprehensive care is as physically as possible at 4pm as it was at 8am.
